OE Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how OE collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the OE mobile application and related services. OE is designed for secure messaging, contacts, file sharing, and team collaboration.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how your organization or server is configured, OE may process the following information:
- Account information: user ID, nickname, avatar, organization profile, login status, language preference, and account settings.
- Contacts and organization information: contact lists, groups, departments, organization directories, member roles, and relationship settings needed to provide communication and collaboration features.
- Messages and collaboration content: text messages, group messages, team updates, reactions, mentions, file metadata, and other content that you choose to send or receive.
- User-selected files and media: images, documents, and short media clips that you actively select, capture, upload, download, or share inside OE.
- Device and app information: device model, operating system version, app version, network status, language, push notification token, crash logs, diagnostic logs, and security-related event information.
- Authentication and security information: session tokens, sign-in records, encrypted local credentials, and biometric unlock status if you enable local biometric protection on your device.
2. How We Use Information
OE uses information only for legitimate application and service purposes, including to:
- Provide one-to-one messaging, group messaging, contact management, file sharing, and team collaboration features.
- Sync messages, contacts, group membership, organization directories, and user settings across devices.
- Deliver notifications for new messages, unread reminders, team updates, and important service events.
- Process files, images, and short media clips that you choose to send, preview, download, or save through the application.
- Maintain account security, prevent misuse, diagnose errors, improve reliability, and protect users and organizations.
- Provide customer support and respond to user requests, privacy requests, or security reports.
3. App Permissions
OE asks for permissions only when they are needed for application features:
- Camera: used when you choose to take a photo or create a short media clip to share or upload.
- Microphone: used only when you choose to record sound as part of a short media clip.
- Notifications: used to show message alerts, unread reminders, and service notifications.
- Network access: used to connect to OE services, sync data, upload and download content, and deliver messages.
- Biometric authentication: used only for local device unlock or local access protection if you enable it. OE does not receive your fingerprint or face data.
- Bluetooth and audio-related system permissions: may be present for compatibility with device audio routing or system components, but are not used to collect location information.
4. Information We Do Not Request in the Google Play Version
The Google Play version of OE is configured to avoid sensitive permissions that are not required for its current core functions. It does not request:
- Precise, approximate, foreground, or background location permission.
- Broad photo, image, audio, or media library read permission.
- All files access permission.
- Permission to view all installed applications on the device.
- Permission to install unknown applications or application packages.
- Floating overlay permission.
- Full-screen alert permission for urgent interruption experiences.
- Permission to download and install updates from outside Google Play.
5. Sharing of Information
OE does not sell your personal information. Information may be shared only in the following limited situations:
- With your organization or server administrator: if OE is provided as an organization-managed workspace, administrators may control accounts, groups, directories, retention settings, and compliance settings.
- With other users you communicate with: messages, profile details, shared files, and collaboration content are visible to intended recipients and groups according to application settings.
- With service providers: hosting, storage, push notification, crash reporting, security, and technical support providers may process information only as needed to provide services for OE.
- For legal and safety reasons: OE may disclose information when required by law, legal process, enforceable governmental request, or to protect users, organizations, rights, security, or service integrity.
6. Third-Party Services and SDKs
OE may use third-party services or software development kits for functions such as push notifications, authentication, crash diagnostics, file handling, cloud messaging, and application reliability. These providers may process limited technical information according to their own policies and our service configuration. OE requires third-party integrations to support the functions described in this Privacy Policy.
7. Data Storage, Security, and Retention
OE uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. Data may be stored on your device and on servers used to provide the service.
Information is retained for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, or follow organization retention settings. Your organization or server administrator may control certain retention periods.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may have rights under applicable privacy laws to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information. You may also:
- Update certain account information inside the application.
- Manage notification settings through the application or your device settings.
- Choose which files, images, or short media clips you share.
- Request account deletion, data access, correction, or other privacy support by contacting us.

9. Children
OE is intended for team communication and collaboration. It is not directed to children. Users should only use OE if they are legally permitted to do so in their country or region and, where required, have authorization from a parent, guardian, employer, school, or organization administrator.
10. International Processing
Depending on your server configuration, organization settings, and service providers, information may be processed in countries or regions other than where you live. We take steps designed to protect information according to this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the application, website, store listing, or other reasonable means.
